Herring is a tasty dish for both people and animals. Many birds, animals and fish hunt herring for a bite to eat. A school of herring is a large group of herring that swim closely together. One school may contain thousands of herring, and they move quickly when humpback whales swim straight through the group with their mouths wide open.
